ATTENTION ALL DADS…WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

On Thursday, August 30th , 2018 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at OPEN HOUSE we will be
signing up Watch D.O.G.S. for the 2018 school year. PLEASE bring your calendars and be ready to sign up. Don’t worry thought if you cannot make it to Open House as we will have a 2nd opportunity for you to sing up on Monday, September 17th , 2018 at BACK-TO-SCHOOL Night. You will also be able to purchase new Watch D.O.G.S. shirts both days as well.

So, you may be asking…what is the Watch D.O.G.S. program? Watch D.O.G.S.® is a nationally recognized program which helps our kids be positively impacted by the involvement of fathers and father-figures. The
goal is to have fathers and father-figures spend one full day a year at the school as an extra set of eyes and ears and a positive male role model to all the children.

What does a Watch D.O.G. do? A typical day may involve welcoming students to school, helping with morning announcements, monitoring hallways and school grounds, assisting teachers in the classrooms with reading, math, or special projects. You may even get to enjoy lunch and/or recess with your students. No matter what you may be asked to do for your child’s school, your time will be appreciated and you will be a HERO! Who can participate in the program? Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers who are willing to help!

If you are new to the school or to the Watch D.O.G.S program or if you just need an updated shirt, please be ready to purchase the official WATCH D.O.G.S.® Uniform T-shirt for $15.00. This shirt will distinguish you as your “uniform” each time you volunteer at the school!
