Dear Panther Family:
We hope that all of our Panthers are remaining positive, healthy and engaged in learning! But, we sure do miss them around our campus! I know that our teachers are remaining engaged with your child through email, phone calls and other digital communication platforms. Please also add our school Facebook page (@PCPanthers) to your list of links to stay abreast of the learning happening from home, our daily PCES Motto and updates as they become available.
While we are saddened by the news that school will be physically closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year, we will continue to support our students in their academic journey. This may be the physical end of attending school this year; but we will provide ongoing instructional opportunities to your child through the calendar school year. The division materials provided last week will be the only instructional/academic content utilized through April 3, 2020. The intent of this content is to keep your child connected to their learning. None of these assignments are graded. If your child has completed the work from the initial digital/paper resources, then encourage your child to continue reading for pleasure, spiral back to previous work or get creative and make up their own learning opportunities.
Please know that we want everyone to take time off from “Learning From Home” for Spring Break. After Spring Break, Hanover County Public Schools will roll out additional “Learn From Home” materials. We will keep you informed as additional information becomes available.
During these unusual times, it is important to look to your left and right to see those surrounding you in love. I’m thankful for the love of our Panther community as you continue to support your child and our staff throughout the closure. Stay healthy Panthers!
